AlgoSeek

Financial data, database, data engineering and services—for teams that live inside market feeds

AlgoSeek — Market Data & Trading Desk UX Case Study

AlgoSeek is a leading market data solutions provider with a team that has 140 years of combined experience in data and algorithmic trading. Known for its quality, reliability, and flexibility, it serves a wide array of clients, from quant firms to individual traders. The work had to signal that credibility while showing how dense information can still feel navigable on the web and in a multi-window trading concept.

Challenge:

A prominent quantitative trading firm approached AlgoSeek with a pressing need: they required an application that would allow their traders to access real-time market data, perform quick analyses, and execute trades on-the-go.

What We Did:

We began with extensive wireframing, creating low-fidelity mockups of the multi-window interface. This allowed us to rapidly iterate on layouts and feature placement, ensuring optimal workflow efficiency. We then developed interactive prototypes, enabling us to test and refine user interactions before full development.

Marketing Site And Data Story

The wide homepage composition introduces datasets, engineering services, and proof points in a single scan—so technical buyers see depth without wading through generic fintech fluff.

Dual Desk Presentations

Paired Mac compositions show how charts, tables, and navigation behave across breakpoints—useful when portfolio managers compare vendors on both laptop and external displays.

Trading Workspace Detail

We employed a user-centered design process, iterating through wireframes and interactive prototypes based on trader feedback. The result is a highly flexible interface that streamlines complex trading workflows while remaining accessible to both experienced quants and newcomers.

Typography, Scale, And Palette

Documented display-to-caption scales sit beside cream, charcoal, green, and neutral swatches—keeping the product legible during long sessions and consistent when engineers ship new modules.

Wordmark Lockup

The horizontal logo treatment balances the symbol and logotype for headers, investor decks, and browser tabs—readable at small sizes without losing the data-forward personality.
