Carbon Integration

Smart home solutions in London and the UK—media rooms, home cinemas, and full home automation

Carbon Integration — Smart Home Website Design Case Study

Carbon Integration combines smart technology with refined interiors for homes across London and the UK. The brand designs and builds media rooms, home cinemas, and end-to-end automation that feels intuitive rather than gadget-heavy. The website had to communicate that premium positioning while helping visitors understand services fast—from first hero impression to device-level responsiveness.

Challenge:

Smart home was a newer domain for the team, so the project required extra research to ship a genuinely usable product. The interface needed to translate complex automation and cinema offerings into clear journeys for homeowners and specifiers without diluting the premium tone.

What We Did:

We designed an engaging responsive site aligned with Carbon Integration’s values: bold typographic heroes, confident yellow-on-dark accents, and modular layouts that scale from phone to large desktop. Accessibility, inclusive patterns, and compatibility across devices and assistive tech were priorities, with iterative reviews alongside the client so the experience matched their vision.

Desktop And Studio Display

MacBook and Studio Display compositions show how editorial hero typography and service storytelling carry across professional review setups—matching how integrators and clients evaluate vendors on large screens.

Immersive Wide Showcase

A full-width frame highlights cinematic imagery and product depth—reinforcing home cinema and automation credibility before users reach detailed service pages.

Phone And Tablet Responsiveness

Device strips featuring iPhone, Nothing Phone, iPad Mini, and iPad Pro demonstrate consistent hierarchy and touch targets as layouts compress—critical for homeowners browsing on phones while contractors compare specs on tablets.

Palette, Type, And Layout Grid

The design system documents Bright Yellow (#FFB81C), Dark Gray (#111111), and white fields, with stepped display-to-body type scales and a 375 / 1170 / 375 column diagram for responsive alignment—keeping motion-ready brand assets disciplined as pages grow.
